NEW COMMITEE The 2010 season will see a new committee for Harlequins Rugby. Adam Collins will retain his presidency and there are a few new faces. Luke Norton is now the VP rugby with Andrew Choice looking after the VP football side. Ray Jackson is still giving the club great service retaining his position as Treasurer. David Waite is on board as Registrar again this year and looks forward to collecting your fees. What is pleasing is the number of interested people coming along to the committee meetings and giving ideas. Remember it is your club and you only have to pick up one thing and do it well to help.
COACHING APPOINTMENTSFOR 2010 Andrew choice has been appointed as club and 1st XV coach for 2010. Also on board are Scott Simmons and new face to the Quins, Gary Hudson. Terry Taumata will be taking on 2nd grade, with Brad Williams and David Waite looking after thirds. We are currently talking to a number of people in regard to colts and will be making a decision here early in the new year along with 4ths and 5ths. TRAINING STARTS Training will officially commence on Tuesday the 2nd of February, however “Training with Travis” will kick off on the 19th of January for all those wanting to get an earlier start and those that have aspirations to higher grades. PRESEASON SEVENS This year we are looking at Crescent heads 7’s in early February. I think all those that were involved in last year’s trip can see it has the possibility of a great weekend. We are also looking at Cowra and Tamworth tens. Please let Adam Collins or Andrew Choice (0404 829 099) know if you are interested. There will be full details around these trips posted to the Website early in the new year. OFF SEASON TOUCH Each Tuesday there is Off season touch at the ground from 6.30pm. This is a new and innovative Rugby style touch. Great fun and helps with the fitness as well. 2010 SEASON KEY DATES Pre season training - 19th of Jan Training starts 2nd of February Crescent Head 7’s 13th of Feb Cowra weekend 6th of March Trial one – 13 March Trial two – 20th of march Trial three – 27th March (Tamworth) Season starts 10th of April JUNIORS Our Juniors need our help and are looking for coaches.
